Large retail bank: This client wanted to reduce their cost-to-income ratio from over 50% to 42%, focusing on cost reductions across all major areas, while increasing service levels and customer satisfaction. Multiple options were analysed as input to the creation of a consistent strategy across the business. Elements of the value proposition included the transfer of the delivery risk to the partners, the application of utility pricing advantages, and the implementation of processes benchmarked against global best practice with supporting technology.
Mortgage Outsourcer: This client offers a full range of outsourcing services to the mortgage industry including mortgage preparation, discharge, post settlement servicing and custody. The acquisition of three other mortgage processing firms required consideration of options and development of a high-level roadmap in order to gain agreement on a new business operating model for the merged entity. We created an organisational structure to support the business through the integration and adopted a fast-track approach to deliver maximum benefits without disrupting the existing client base. The initiative allowed for reduced business costs without detrimentally impacting the growth strategy of the business. This resulted in the amalgamation of the separate business groups, the closure of a processing site and the reduction of about 100 staff across the business.
