  • Electrical Company:  This assignment involved identifying foreign sourcing cost reduction opportunities of over $4million with a supporting operating model and implementation plan. We analysed the company’s Group domestic procurement spend to identify synergies with the new global parent company and supported development of proposed integration approaches. We conducted research and benchmarked various Chinese sourcing and quality assurance organisations (including trading companies) to identify effective operating models and other best practices for China spend outsourcing.

 

  • Major Mining Company:  We established formal service level agreements (SLAs) across three major internal customers including sponsorship of twelve resources and spend management of approximately $500m. This involved conducting high-level spend analysis to support opportunity identification, development of service delivery plans for major customers, SLA negotiations and resource planning. Our consultant led the annual pricing review study across eight major IT consulting service suppliers, including establishment of a new analysis methodology, development of the negotiation strategy and implementation, and identification of contract non-compliance areas.
